Keith L. Barnes
Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer, and President
Keith Barnes is Verigy's Chairman of the Board, Chief Executive Officer and President. He brings to his role in Verigy more than 25 years of managing public/private companies and divisions of leading EDA, IC prototype verification and ATE companies.
From 2003 through 2006, Mr. Barnes was Chairman and CEO of Electroglas, Inc., brought in by the board in a turnaround capacity for the manufacturer of integrated circuit probers. He was Chairman and CEO of Integrated Measurement Systems (IMS), the leader in digital, mixed-signal and memory-IC verification. Credence Systems Corporation acquired the company in 2001. Before assuming his role at IMS, Mr. Barnes was a division President at Cadence Design Systems, and a division President at Valid Logic Systems which was acquired by Cadence in 1992.
Mr. Barnes was a founder of Kontron Electronics, Incorporated from 1979 through 1985 when the Kontron group was acquired by BMW.
Mr. Barnes holds a BSES degree from California State University, San Jose. He has served on numerous boards and industry associations during his career, and has completed the Directors' College program at the Stanford Law School. Today he serves on the Board of Directors of Cascade Microtech, Inc. Mr. Barnes was a three term Regent at The University of Portland.
