Cupertino, Calif. - Oct. 16, 2007 - Verigy (NASDAQ: VRGY), a premier semiconductor test company, has ranked among the top 20 favorite equipment suppliers in Taiwan on the 2007 VLSI Research Inc. customer satisfaction survey. These rankings, part of VLSI Research's global annual customer satisfaction survey, are based on responses from users of chip making equipment in Taiwan rating their suppliers on 13 equipment performance and customer service categories. Based on Taiwan users' responses, Verigy was the second highest ranked test equipment company, second only to Advantest and ahead of Teradyne and Credence. Taiwan customers rated Verigy highly in the critical "Uptime" category, followed closely by "Build Quality" and "Usable Throughput".

Verigy has a strong installed base in Taiwan's large semiconductor industry, as a key supplier to all of the leading outsourced semiconductor assembly and test companies (OSATs), the top foundries, and all the top test houses, as well as leading large and small fabless semiconductor manufacturers. The role of OSATs in Taiwan is becoming increasingly important to the entire semiconductor industry. Many of today's largest semiconductor companies are now fabless companies, and the "asset lite" approach continues to gain popularity among independent device manufacturers (IDMs) as a business strategy.
