BIST Assist 6.4
Low-cost, high integrity solution for testing high-speed links

Verigy offers a evolutionary built-in-self-test (BIST) based solution for testing high speed serial links in a volume manufacturing environment. As an extension to the Verigy V93000 SOC Series, BIST Assist delivers cost savings in excess of 50 percent over conventional at-speed production solutions.

With adjustable and precise jitter injection, DC access and at-speed level control, this solution provides unmatched performance insights that enable production tests without compromising quality. In addition, these capabilities result in a flexible and wide application span for graphics, chipset, switches and SerDes devices in BIST or loopback mode (e.g., SATA, PCI Express and Fibre Channel) that require high-fault coverage and high-speed data rates at the lowest cost in production.

BIST Assist fills the gap between DUT-board loopback products that meet the cost targets needed by consumers and the high volume manufacturing market, but do not supply adequate fault coverage, and at-speed digital cards that provide the necessary fault coverage, but at a cost that is too high for the consumer market. In addition, BIST Assist is the first solution to test serial links at speeds up to 6.4 Gb/s.
